rehabilitation
Dr Holland is a Certified Equine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CERP).
Equine rehabilitation programmes aid in the recovery of strength, form and function following an injury, illness, surgery or trauma. A comprehensive and customised treatment plan can address a range of disorders, including musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, soft tissue injuries, muscle atrophy, degenerative diseases and performance problems.
Dr Holland uses her rehabilitation qualification from the University of Tennessee to tailor rehabilitation programmes that combine several beneficial therapeutic procedures to help correct and heal the body. These programmes are designed to meet the exact needs of the horse. They may include chiropractic, acupuncture, myofascial release, taping and Class IV Laser therapy. She can also write you a personalised weekly exercise plan to get your horse back on track after a surgical procedure or injury. This integrated approach ensures that your horse is restored to optimum health and function as quickly as possible.
She regularly and successfully has rehabilitated horses post proximal suspensory surgery, kissing spine surgery, stifle surgery or problems, tendon injuries, sacroiliac joint dysfunction and pelvic dysfunction to name but a few.
