Dr Holland specialises in chiropractic assessment and treatment.
Musculoskeletal dysfunctions often result in inflexibility, tension or pain. These issues can restrict movement and impact internal function, thereby compromising the overall performance of your horse. Chiropractic can relieve discomfort and help regain function in the back, neck and pelvis. It offers an effective treatment for acute and chronic musculoskeletal problems, tension and stiffness. It is commonly used to treat disorders of the sacroiliac joint, kissing spine pain, back pain associated with lameness and orthopaedic issues, neck issues and aid post-surgery recovery. Restrictions can cause schooling issues such as cantering on the leg, lateral work problems, issues with bending your horse and problems with your bit to name but a few. Some visceral issues, such as colic and COPD, can be improved but will only be looked at after primary veterinary care assessment and workup has been completed. This drug free treatment offers fantastic pain relief for competition horses.
Dr Holland, who is an Internationally Certified Veterinary Chiropractor, will begin the treatment by conducting a thorough evaluation of your horse. You will be asked to provide a detailed account of your horse's medical history.
